HARKEY INSTITUTE FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL STUDIES
The Harkey Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies (HIES) is the premiere undergraduate entrepreneurship academy in the United States. HIES was built within the McCombs School of Business to teach the entrepreneurial mindset, create entrepreneurs and inspire the next generation of world leaders. We believe innovation and entrepreneurship education develop strong and sustainable economies, strengthen the foundations of free markets, and build resilient international leaders. The Harkey Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies will prepare students to become powerful innovative leaders and solve the problems of a dynamic, digital and global future.
The Harkey Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies (HIES) is a first of its kind living learning community that will admit incoming students directly into the Entrepreneurship Minor. This entrepreneurial living learning community provides students with access to entrepreneurship classes, campus housing and the McCombs business community, a credential program that is usually reserved for admitted upperclassman students.
